Founded by Ken and Karla Werner in 1994, the company began as a home-based operation: selling homemade beef jerky from their minivan along the north Oregon Coast.

Founded by the Werners in 1994, Werner Gourmet Meat Snacks started making beef jerky as a home-based operation on the Oregon Coast. Driven by a commitment to quality and a hands-on approach, the business steadily grew - moving to a full production facility in Tillamook, expanding product lines to include meat sticks and candy snacks.
